Hey, I’m Jye.
I’m a Mudgee wedding photographer who loves to capture raw, real and emotion filled moments for couples madly in love.
Mudgee is one of my favourite places to capture beautiful weddings. It’s home to some of the most picturesque venues across NSW and has an amazing array of award winning vineyards and wines. And best of all, it’s one of the best places to capture those warm orange tones that are so synonymous with Autumn in Australia.
Mudgee, located a little over 3 hours North-West of Sydney, has long been a popular wedding destination. In-fact it’s often considered one of the most sought after wedding locations in NSW.
And while there are so many amazing venues to choose from, it’s also the country feel and striking landscapes that make it such an ideal wedding location.
You’ve got grand landscapes of rolling hills, endless vineyards, open paddocks and the World Heritige-listed Wollemi National Park in the distance. Between these and the abundance of venues, there’s no shortage of ceremony, reception, and photo locations for your big day.
And on the photography side of things, it’s extremely rare for a Mudgee sunset to disappoint. For your couples session, I love venturing out and capturing those warm hues and romantically fiery skies as the sun begins to dip below the horizon.
Still deciding on your dream Mudgee wedding venue?
With so many amazing options across the region it can really be a bit of a tough choice.
I’ve put together a small list of some of my favourite venues in and around Mudgee. It’s certainly not a definitive list, but I hope it helps you to discover a handful of beautiful locations to celebrate that special day.
Blue Wren is made up of 50 beautiful acres of rolling hills, grapevines and perfectly manicured lawns.
Home to multi-award winning wines and beautiful food, Burnbrae offers a gorgeous rustic country vibe.
The Vinegrove features flowing vineyards, giant cottonwood trees and a stunning rustic homestead.
If romance were a venue, it might just be Putta Bucca House with its lush, romantic gardens.
Home to one of NSW's best Rosés, Burrundulla Wines is the ideal venue for small and intimate weddings.
Bunnamagoo Estate, home to award winning wines, an iconic cellar door and some of the best food in Mudgee.
Native gardens, a gorgeous homestead and views of Mount Frome are all part of the Yurali Homestead experience.
Rustic charm is the perfect description for the lovely Lowe Wines and their certified organic vineyards.
"Jye is amazing! We absolutely love the memories of our wedding day that he delivered through photographs. Even before the big day he helped us to plan and work out the timeline for our entire day as well as giving us a bunch of tips to help things run perfectly.
Thank you Jye, we adore your work."
“Jye was so friendly and made the awkwardness of having our photos taken melt away. The experience was just incredible and even my fiancé enjoy himself. We received the photos today and they are simply breathtaking! There is so much love and joy captured in those photos and I can’t thank Jye enough! I can’t emphasis enough how brilliant these photos and the experience was!!!”
“Jye asked the right questions to create a brief prior to our session, allowed me the freedom to choose my own location and nothing was too much to ask, including travel. Jye created a fun and relaxing vibe and made two people whom hadn’t been in front of a camera before feel very comfortable and relaxed. Would highly recommend Jye as a professional service. We’re looking forward to hanging our memories in our home.”
